This is the power feed to the injectors and has battery power with the key on. Then take a multimeter set to ohms scale and check the wires at the injectors for a short to ground. The ECU and all 4 injectors must be unplugged. So the next step needs to be checking the injector control circuits for a short to ground. It would have to be continually outputting an RPM signal to the ECU which would also cause the ignition coils to fire and the tach to display an RPM reading. There really is no way a CAS can fail and cause the injectors to stay on. If all 4 are spraying fuel all the time a shorted wire is unlikely unless the harness got pinched under a bracket or something on reassembly. 2 could be shorted and spraying fuel all the time and 2 could be pulsing normally.
I believe there are two injectors on each driver, so check all 4 injector circuits. If the light is still on then a wire is shorted out. If the light goes out, the ECU has a shorted circuit driver and needs to be replaced. If the light stays on all the time when the key is on then disconnect the wire connectors at the ECU. Normally the light should blink on and off only when cranking or running. Connect a test light across the two terminals of an injector. That has the effect of connecting the injector directly to the battery, instead of pulsing on and off.Įasy to check.
